Pause
Nothing that is can pause or stay. The moon will wax. The moon will wane. The mist and cloud will turn to rain. The rain to mist and cloud again. Tomorrow be today.

Alive
i thank You God for most this amazing
day:for the leaping greenly spirits of trees
and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything
which is natural which is infinite which is yes
(i who have died am alive again today,
and this is the sun’s birthday; this is the birth
day of life and of love and wings: and of the gay
great happening illimitably earth)
how should tasting touching hearing seeing
breathing any–lifted from the no
of all nothing–human merely being
doubt unimaginable You?
(now the ears of my ears awake and
now the eyes of my eyes are opened)

Dark
We work in the dark - we do what we can - we give what we have. Our doubt is our passion, and our passion is our task. The rest is the madness of art.

If I see you
If I see you
and only you,
then the world shall smile.
If I see you
and not my past,
then that world shall grow.
My needs,
my fears
my loneliness,
are all in black and white;
but you are made of beauty
unique and precious child.
Possibility lies within
the dreams you hold inside,
the magic of your laughter
and the hope within your eyes.
If we stand together,
then you may see me too,
and I will see a new world
reflected in your eyes.
You my love are beautiful
and the world has grown so wide.

Alongside
I cannot walk another’s pain,
nor take it from them.
Yet gladly would I give a little of myself
to walk alongside
in companionship and love.
When the soul is darkest
and the light most hidden,
there would I offer the breath of self knowledge.
I cannot know the path to follow,
but if I could,
I would reflect the radiance of a person’s essence
back into their heart,
that they might find their own path
with sure and knowing steps,
and not walk those steps alone.
Where their path may lead
I cannot know.
Yet gladly would I follow.
nor take it from them.
Yet gladly would I give a little of myself
to walk alongside
in companionship and love.
When the soul is darkest
and the light most hidden,
there would I offer the breath of self knowledge.
I cannot know the path to follow,
but if I could,
I would reflect the radiance of a person’s essence
back into their heart,
that they might find their own path
with sure and knowing steps,
and not walk those steps alone.
Where their path may lead
I cannot know.
Yet gladly would I follow.

Words
She was fascinated with words. To her, words were things of beauty, each like a magical powder or potion that could be combined with other words to create powerful spells.
