Infinite

Our planet is a dancing creature of spirit and matter spinning on an axis of love in an infinite living universe.

After

The Morning After

The sun rises from its slumber
and bids the moon farewell;
then, peeking through the curtains,
begins to cast its spell.

My eyes are barely open
and my vision still impaired;
the silence only broken
by the calling of a bird

seeking shelter in the hedgerow -
alone but undeterred.
It sings its song so softly yet
that’s all that can be heard

on this, the morning after, when
my lips no more do tell
of dreams from which I’ve woken
for time has rung its bell.

Holy

I am certain of nothing but the holiness of the heart’s affections and the truth of the imagination.

Learn

When sunshine chooses

to dance wildly in your soul,

learn its rhythms.

Eagle

To pray you open your whole self
To sky, to earth, to sun, to moon
To one whole voice that is you.
And know there is more
That you can’t see, can’t hear
Can’t know except in moments
Steadily growing, and in languages
That aren’t always sound but other
Circles of motion.
Like eagle that Sunday morning
over Salt River.   Circled in blue sky
In wind, swept our hearts clean
With sacred wings.
We see you, see ourselves and know
That we must take the utmost care
And kindness in all things.
Breathe in, knowing we are made of
All this, and breathe, knowing
We are truly blessed because we
Were born, and die soon, within a
True circle of motion,
Like eagle rounding out the morning
Inside us.
We pray that it will be done
In beauty,
In beauty.

More

Every book contains a life. The more we read the more we live.

Equal night

Magical reality

Sing the darkness
Sing the light
Sing the joy of being!

Fleet and fragile
Capricious, fey
Dark meets light
in Magic's clay

To be, to do
To know, to act
Imagine is create

This the balance
This the choice
This the path I walk

Two worlds as One

Nudge

Words are sacred. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones, in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.

Dare

Dare to be different.
Dare to live by your
own convictions, not
somebody else’s.
Dare to believe that
you can and should
make a difference in the
world, that you have a
precious contribution to
make which no one else
can offer.
Dare to face your
fears and live in the
strength of the spirit, un-
fettered by human respect,
a free spirit before
the face of your God.
Dare to believe that
you may really be right,
and that even if you’re
not it is better to have
erred in sincerity than
never to have dared to
live.

Raw

[Pure love] is the opposite of living behind a pane of glass; it's raw and unorthodox and unpredictable and sublime, and it never fades.

Accept

When you are dancing and singing with joy, with deep acceptance of yourself as you are, wisdom starts happening.

Resist

It is precisely because we resist the darkness in ourselves that we miss the depths of the loveliness, beauty, brilliance, creativity and joy that lie at our core.

Dance

candle flame is dancing
    with my spirit
        in the night

it offers up its radiance
    tracing secrets
        on the sky

silent shadows weaving
    a pattern
        on the walls

and i alone am dreaming
    in a velvet
        pool of light

Abandon

For far too long we have been seduced into walking a path that did not lead us to ourselves. For far too long we have said “yes” when we wanted to say “no.” And for far too long we have said “no,” when we desperately wanted to say “yes”. . . . When we don't listen to our intuition, we abandon our souls.

And we abandon our souls because we are afraid if we don't, others will abandon us.

Heart

Oh my God, what if you wake up some day, and you’re 65, or 75, and you never got your memoir or novel written; or you didn’t go swimming in warm pools and oceans all those years because your thighs were jiggly and you had a nice big comfortable tummy; or you were just so strung out on perfectionism and people-pleasing that you forgot to have a big juicy creative life, of imagination and radical silliness and staring off into space like when you were a kid? It’s going to break your heart. Don’t let this happen.

Private

To read in bed is to draw around us invisible, noiseless curtains. Then at last we are in a room of our own and are ready to burrow back, back to that private life of the imagination we all led as a child and to whose secret satisfactions so many of us have mislaid the key.

Air

Wild Child

Running wild, like an innocent child
Flowers in my hair, barefoot on the grass

Joyful, bold and free!

Growing with the seasons
Following the Sun!

Spirals of falling leaves, birds singing nearby ...

-Is this a dream? - My heart excited yells.

-No, my precious child - answers the Southern Wind ...

-It is just you enjoying a simple life.

Explore

That is the exploration that awaits you! Not mapping stars and studying nebula, but charting the unknown possibilities of existence.
